Hi, My nephews live on different sides of the country, whilst I was at their house for a business trip last week, one of my nephews was showing me all the power point slides and things he has made and all the cool little things he can now do on a computer (I am an IT Professional, so they like showing me this stuff) All things I didn't learn until my last year of High School. He also said that he speaks with my other nephews on email and on websites all the time. I have a large range of websites and thought it would be nice to set them up their own private website for communication for the family. The thing is I want it to be fairly simple for them to use, when essentially they will be chatting (I was thinking a chat script or forum script) and and easy to use CMS to post news and their little projects. Any suggestions? I think Joomla which is the one I use will be too complex for them. Cheers Dan
I would suggest wordpress probably. It's very easy to use and can be modified to do what you need pretty quickly. You can install a little forum into it and keep it private I think for them to chat with one another before posting things. hope that helps, Nigel
You may not choose this one, but it's good to look at, even if it's not what you want... Download DT Centrepiece - http://www.dt.net.nz/centrepiece/ Try it - http://www.smallbiz.net.nz/
