Best amazon store script?

Whats the best amazon store script out there? From a looks, functionality and SEO potential point of view?

I've seen that and I like it, but I've also been looking at the one by ghost scripter (http://ghostscripter.com/amazon_shop.php) does anybody know if thats good/ It certainly looks very nice.

Iv used Amazon Shop for a couple of years i like it. I found it very easy to customise and the supports fairly good.

 

Do you people who use Associate-O-Matic pay for it? or do you have the lite version?

 

I use Associate-O-Matic (Lite) - and its so easy

 

I wouldn't recommend that one since you only get 90% of your sales on there.


They guy who wrote it also encoded it with base64 which will slow down the speed of the script since it has to decode it and than run it like a normal script.

 

Associate-O-Matic.com is ok. However I have doubts about it being SEO friendly.

 

I customized ASM. Did a bit of programming to make it look somewhat unique and made a few seo enhancements. Nothing too dramatic as I didn't want to spend too much time on this.

 

I've read alot of stuff about AoM being SEO unfriendly. Users say that for the first few months its really great but then they go to the supplemental index and/or dissappear from google? This is the only reason I have set out to buy the AoM script. I'm not sure if it helps but for me personally I don't know if its worth it unless there's a way around this duplicate content problem.

Puh. Been a while since I did it but I used to hack around in the category descriptions.
I know I ran into this (ASM doesn't work right out of the box for some reason).
It has something to do with the BrowseNode or something. Gotta look it up again to be of any use to you (maybe you can google around for browsenode and asm setup or something)
I would give you mine, but I have modified ASM so I have to find out if I messed with those too or not.

 

The same thing happened to you? No items would display?
If you did give me yours, I can guarantee that I would completely redesign and change it, so I wouldn't use all your work.

 

How does a store script like this fair in terms of SEO.
Do all the pages get indexed?

Lets see what I can find. I think that wasn't so hard to fix. I just fiddled around with the 3 config files or so, setting the correct browsenode thing.
Basically the information on this site:
http://www.browsenode.name/
should be all you need.
Put the stuff into your us.inc and us_browse.inc and you should be set (I guess thats what took care of that problem if I remember correctly).
I really can't give you my stuff (except maybe those .inc files) since I hacked the code and made major mods .

Depends. Not with the ASM site (at least not much). As with everything in life you harvest what you seed. If you don't spend any effort you won't get much out of it either.
Basically pure Amazon stores are quite useless.
