I am in the process of completely renovating my office. New carpet, new paint, new furniture, etc. I would like to replace my current laptop with a decent all-in-one computer. Must have a CD drive, big screen and be fast enough to allow me to surf the net without any lag time. I prefer to buy it on Amazon with my Prime membership - but I could always venture out to Best Buy or another computer store should it not be available on Amazon. Any suggestions?
I and others I know have had good luck with Dell computers over the years. I don't know why you would want an all-in-one computer, though. I am using basic desktop on the floor and a 32 inch 1080p television for a monitor and it is a great setup. When you have the big monitor, it is difficult to go back to anything small.
In terms of value for money, you really can't go past Dell. That said, you may want to look into building your own rig.

I would suggest you to go to some computer store and ask them to assemble you a configuration instead of buying branded one. You'll get better hardware for the money.
Get a computer company to put a computer together for you, trust me you will save tons of money. Dell all these companies give you low specs at a high cost. Your normal computer shop will put something together you that will be so much better. I would get a pc built and i would add a 27"dell screen or samsung. i would not buy a stock standard dell, hp etc. go to your local computer shop. verdina is spot on. The only thing is make sure that pc shop is well known been around for years and offer a 3 warranty on everything like dell does. last thing you need is that pc shop to go bust in 6 months and your pc bombs o do not touch an amd pc, their processors are terrible. intel all the way and i am no fanboy just use common sense. you could look into a high end laptop. wires are so annoying.
