Hey, Just about to launch a new ecommerce store. I need some advice on the affiliate programs to use. Anyone have a good plan of attack for getting started with using affiliates? I am not interested in paying for traffic, only for conversions. Really new at this so anything helps. Thanks
pay for commissions, work up a good pay per sale program and distribute it. here is my idea of a good launch strategy ( without going into many details) 1) use marketing features like exporting your products to shopping engines and such 2) distribute coupons to coupon sites like retailmenot and others 3) have a good affiliate program set up on a large network 4) seo and ppc, ppv, and test now for the first 2 i know u have tools like izzonet.com and primefeed.com for a good affiliate program i will suggest cj / shareasale / linkshare and as for seo and testing different marketing options , this is a big thing on its own so i wont go into detail but basically, do your tests and understand your business. this is just my cup o tea for a new store.

Make your own affiliate program. Place a link on the site. Also look at the big networks to see if you can get in. From there affiliates will find you. Make coupons / deals / offers for you products. If you get with the big networks they have automated way to distribuit them.

When you are going to start affiliate marketing, you first know about the latest trends in the market, then go to second step of affiliate marketing.
It's a good technique. You have to make sure that the information that you give in the form is accurate as most affiliate networks will send the commission cheque to the address that you have put in the form.
