    The best is whatever you can make money with. I make a good amount of money by promoting non competes (complimentary products).

    What you can promote depends on the TOS. Most major networks are not going to let ads fly on adult sites. But some publishers use more than one affiliate network. If you have serious traffic people will listen. So if you have an idea write the affiliate manager direct.
