Hiya, What's best for high conversion? Either - Very competitive keywords, i.e iphone unlock OR Less competitive keywords, i.e iphone 3gs 3.1.0 unlock (well that wasn't a good example but you get the idea). Obviously the first will be much more expensive, so would it be better to go for the 2nd? Would there be a situation that your keywords are so uncommon no one searches for them? Boy this is going to be hard....I hope I can even profit from Adwords! Thanks
Very competitive keywords are likely to drive volume, but not necessarily conversion rates. Bear in mind that they will be more expensive and it's possible you'll face stiff competition in terms of offer strength and ad spend. Niche keywords are usually more closely targeted to the consumer, therefore are more relevant. If they're more relevant, they'll get higher CTR and higher conversion. Of course they won't have the volume that more generic keywords will give you, but they'll probably be cheaper too. There are situations where the amount of searches for a given keyword is so low that Google flags those keywords as "low search volume". IME, these are usually highly specific exact or phrase matches.
Your decision to go for google adwords is a welcome step for enhancing your business on the web.But your good intentions to give your business a jump start, or accelerate its revenue generation needs a little research before it becomes a turning point in your business.Or it goes the way you have envisioned it to be.
