Please post a couple of lines of what you think is THE best way to boost my sites PR. I have multiple sites.. celebrity..health...you name it. General tips would be appreciated! I have owned websites for nearly a year now... but only in the last month have started to care about PR and SEO. Linda.
Get backlinks from high PR pages is the only way to go, especially site relevant ones. You might even have to pay for one or two. The higher the page PR that links to you the higher PR your site will be. Col
So what would happen if I got 10-20 PR 3-5 linking back to my PR 3 ? Would it go up? I am wondering... does it matter how many links go out of my site that aren't getting a link back? Will that bring my PR down?
Regarding to health my only advice : Original content first should get indexed by Google, then the articles should be submitted to article directories. This is what i had done : I wrote articles related to health and here i used to get them indexed first :http://www.helpfulhealthtips.com/ (my health site) Then i used to submit to a list of article directories http://www.chattous.com/article-directories.html and get good backlinks. Now i have a PR5 homepage and article pages are PR4 This is my advice
Depends on the amount of PR4's and PR5's you got linking to you. Forget about the PR3's unless you want more traffic in the long run. If you have a PR3 site and you have 1000 PR3 links it will not go up. Concentrate on higher PR sites linking back to you. For example. I had a PR4 site for 2 years. I had only one PR5 site linking to me. In the last 6 months I have about 20 PR5 sites linking to me. Now my site is going to PR5 in this update (just waiting for update to spread across all dc's). Sizzler, You are also correct.
What is the best way to go about getting the backlinks from the high PR pages? Besides making a wish at the wishing well? A few blogging buddies link to my blog(s) -- other than that do you advise webmasters to submit their sites to directories? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance Rhianna
Paid links will guarantee high PR backlinks. Otherwise, you can self promote by simply contacting the high PR sites and asking for a link back. It has a high failure rate but some are generous if your site is relevant to theirs. To find high PR sites use Google Advanced Search, use the allinurl search with the keyword of your choice (set the search for 100 results). Once the page is loaded with heaps of sites with the keyword in the url's. Copy the link in your browsers address field. Open www.webmastereyes.com and place the link in there and hit enter. You will every site from the Google search and their PR. Have fun. Col BTW Are you related to FanAddict?
Thanks for the advice, Col To the best of my knowledge I am not related to anyone on this board. I have relatives but I don't think they are here (yet)
I think sumbitting to directories wont help much in getting a good PR. most directories have most of their pages in Supplemental results, others take ages to approve your links. I'm not saying here that you should not do directory submissions. What I'm saying is that you should support the directory submissions with article submissions, link exchange, press releases, blogs and more.
1. Get quality backlinks. It should be on sites with relevant niche. 2. Get backlinks with high PR sites. It must be relevant to your niche or theme of your site. But I have to warn you that getting high PR doesn't mean you will get higher SERP rankings. Because those two are not directly related to each other.
same as mine. I've done this by wrote article about real estate, wait for Google index first then submitted to many article directories manually, and get PR5 home page and article page has PR4 (no inbound link to article page directly but from home page only and get PR4, it's impressive!! ) I hope to get PR6-7 in next update
Just submitting to free directories should bring your PR at least up to 3 or 4. However with some good paid links, you should be able to reach PR5.
Rosiee0007, You make a very good point. The lure of submitting your links in say a PR8 directory will do very little for you as your link will be listed somewhere like this http://www.directorysomething/categ...categorysomething/yourniche/links/page152.php if you get my drift! That page will be PR0 or even PR n/a. However, in time that page will increase slightly if it is promoted correctly. Col
I know people are generally looking for quick ways to build the PR. I agree with most of the post above that there are many useful options but the bottom line in my mind is unique. original. content.. If you've got something worth reading, useful information, etc people will want to link to you in turn building up your IBL and helping your PR. Unless you've got a useful site you can buy all the links you want and nobody is going to care.
