    labnol.blogspot.com looks good.
I wish he would share his template with me because it's damn difficult to modify mine to something similar.

It took me a long time to find the ads on that page.

That's probably not so good for AdSense revenue.

It's a difficult question to answer, because a CMS is difficult to define.

I usually just point people to Content Management Systems at Wikipedia.

well for instance, that guy is blogging. you can use a blog CMS or a larger more complex one like Joomla to add content to your site. I assume he is using one by the complexity of his CSS. his site can be easily duplicated but depending on what CMS you are using there are special php codes that have to be styled when displayed as html

Yes I like the blending of the adsense links in the top of that blog :)

I have a site with hight CTR because of the colors and font blending:
    www.export-import-index.com

Whew, even after reading the Wiki link it was still a bit tough to appreciate.
I guess it's one of those things you know about, after you use it.

Basically I just adapted what I could from view source but while it looks pretty similar I am losing some of the features of the Blogger platform, like archiving etc.

I guess I'll just keep trying because I am pretty well bored of the way my basic templates look. In fact they annoy me at times:(

you can see it on your user control panel (UserCP Link)
not everyone i'm sure. there are many net surfers that know nothing about adsense.

This has been discussed before. It depends on your audience. Webmaster and tech freaks do know, grannies and aunties dont.

Aim your site at grannies and aunties. Adsense knitting site anyone!?!:D

High CTR possibly because of wording "Please choose a category".
    Risky IMO
