    you were running adsense on a gambling site? its against TOS so google will surely ban your site

    Poker is not allowed under Adsense TOS. The best niche in Adsense is always the one that you are interested in or enthusiastic about.

    The best niche is :

    - the one that has solid traffic day after day
    - the one that has low competition
    - one that you enjoy (for writting, etc)

    i've picked up 2 or 3 just like these and i'm a happy man. Forget about "high paying keywords" lol If you dominate one niche you will get high paying clicks and low paying clicks :) You will get them all.

    I've made $2/click with finance related sites.

    i've heard people can get $20/click from geo-targeting niches.

    I know what you mean, but not always true ;) one of my niches pays quite poorly, but fortunately i never set the site up with adsense in mind at all for it, its one of my niches where its more of a love for it than how much i can make from it.
