Best ad placement here for sure!

Hello, look at this website and how nicely the ad placement is done:
    http://www.coloriages.fr

you see, all 3 adsense blocs (300x250) are located side by side, at the top. The webmaster has done a big header so that the content is pushed down below the page fold. That is not correct regarding adsense rules because on a 1024x768 you only see the header and the ads, but I'm sure they let it go because it is so nicely done and honestly we know there is the content just below.

But imagine the CTR of this ad placement, with the nice colors of the ads matching the page design.. I bet it's above 10%, I'd like to do a new site or update an older site with a similar template, what's your opinion?

After seeing this ad placement, I came up with a simple ad placement which allows you to put everything first and then you have the rest of the page for your content and other things.
So it's 3 300x250 adsense blocks plus 3 728x15 adlink blocks. It's the total allowed per page.
I put it right at the top of my page, exemple for the health tag: http://www.best-reviewer.com/category/health.htm
As you can see the adlink blocks are between the title of the page and the adsense blocks, so it is a buffer in case adsense finds the title too close to adsense block as being "labelling the ads".

What do you think? I think it's fine, of course it would be better to have outstanding artwork as my template background image, but even like that, everything stuck together I hope can do 5% CTR, depends on the site it is on, but I guess it can be a good CTR in most cases.

I don't think the CTR is +5%, the ads aren't related to the content. The placing is nice, thats for sure.

Very good ads placement. I did similar placement to on my blog= webdesigntome.blogspot.com. But I used image ads only. I'm not plan to put ads blended with post because my blog has less in writing. I dont want to violate Adsense TOS.

It's not my site I gave in my first message. I just shared it because I thought it is an excellent ad integration, the webmaster of this site is the same as lol.net a french webmaster with a company and a talented graphist working for him.

This is one of the greatest placement I've ever seen. Nice found. The best part is the page number at the bottom, it makes people think those ad are actually pages.
