Of the adsense alternatives out there, what are the better Ad Networks for technology related sites? Right now I'm running adsense on a technology blog and the results are abysmal. A good month is if I make a dollar off a thousand impressions. I've only used adsense on my sites and wonder what would be better for fit for technology.
You could always try YPN, it has had better results for me. Another thing you could do is to sell links. $1 CPM isnt that bad...
I want an alternative for a technology site too, and as far I haven't found anything cool enough. Right now I am testing adbrite, but I don't think it will pass the "test". Anywat the thread is bookmarked
I signed up for YPN several weeks ago and so far no reply. I also signed up for adbrite and several other networks but they all seem similar to adsense. Selling links, never done that before, how does that work? Is it similar to a link exchange, do you sell for a set period? It's very aggravating to see all my traffic go to waste.
If you have a good deal of traffic, you could try a CPM network or two (though this time of the year you'd be hard pressed making more than $1 CPM NET). TribalFusion and BurstMedia come to mind. I had a large order for a HP notebook/printer ad a few months ago through TF which was making bank!
I read on an article through Digg that the CPC networks like YPN and Adsense perform pretty abysmally with technology related sites (especially programming type ones), and the consensus was to just use adsense/YPN until you are able to privately sell adspace.
