Wow - I clicked on a banner. That doesn't happen often.

I've got to pay the designer of this ad. I really admire people who have a knack for this kind of stuff...

Now the question is did you 'buy' into whatever the product which was being advertising?

The site isn't even worth mentioning - it was the same old crap as usual. And no I didn't buy into anything :p

It's a problem we see every day in traditional 'broadcast' advertising - they have entire TV specials dedicated to the 'funniest TV adverts'. Very clever ad - good visual, good copy... but it doesn't do a dang thing to promote commerce or a desired 'action' item. Advertising should inform and communicate - helping someone to make the decision to 'buy' or take similar action. I would love to know if the ad 'worked' - that is, driving a significant amount of buying customers to the site to off-set the cost of design, production and placement of the ad.

Sorry- I paid so little attention to the site once I did a quick 'oh same crap as usual' scan, so I couldn't even tell you what it was now.

Advertisers baffle me - at least a lot of the ones with lots of money to spend.

At our place we have favourite ads which we always all pay attention to and watch (ok, ok, one is a bra ad), but do you think we know the brand they are promoting (not just the bra ad).

Isn't association important - associating a message with a brand and making a call to action?

Anyone seen any other really good ads online lately?

I don't mean to back my own back - especially being a newbie and all - Had our biggest day last Thurdays with 557 unique hits. We deal with recreational activites, campgrounds and such - so it made sense with it being the Thursday before Labor Day weekend.

How's does that movie go - "If you build it, they will come?"

Content, content, content - that's MHO

I usually click on the big Nike or Adidas ads where they play movie clips. I guess it's because my brain is not used to see them often...
