Hi, it depends on your layout, but yes 336x280 on top of content, 160x600 in a menu column, 250x250 x2 between header and content, etc. All are quite powerful, it depends on how you integrate them in your design.

 

160x600 works for me

 

I dont think there is any format or size that fits for all.

 

links format is the best. but if your site is about flash games then use image format. definitely visitors will click it.
