    Agree with sigmainfo above.

    You should try to optimize writing short copy in order to get many clicks.
    These are few tips on short copy for AdWord ads:
    1. Build up curiosity and be spesifics.
    Curiosity means that your sentence not need to be complete. Spesifics means use exact number and be as detail as you can. You must state the purpose/fact/desire in your ads.

    2. Use question/allusion.
    Using question/allusion with achievable purpose will attract clicks. Use the word like: 'Here is how i lose 15 lbs in 30 days', 'How i made $456 in just less than 4 hours', ' Who else want to get massive subscribers with this free software?', etc. State an achievable purpose to draw clicks. People love something achievable, because they always feel they can't do it.

    3. Direct them to click
    Give them an urge call to action, state it explicitly. You don't want them just to stare at your ads, right? So, tell them to click it.

    That's it.
    I think it's doable for every one.

    Thanks for the advice is there anyway to get to the top of popular keywords such as cheap laptops?
    I have been looking to get adwords for some time but know the popular keywords are always the most expensive!
