Best 30 GB MP3 Player

I've been looking at

Apple 30 GB iPod video Black (5.5 Generation)
Creative Zen Vision:M 30 GB MP3 and Video Player
Microsoft Zune

I've read that you can only but songs from ITunes on the IPod is this true?
Any mp3 player owners out there, what do you recommend?

Get an iPod for sure. They're easy to use and look the best.

If you want to buy songs off of iTunes you need an ipod...but it's better to buy real CDs and just import them into iTunes...That way you avoid stupid DRM and backup problems with songs from iTunes.

 

Anyone got Zune? Would love to hear how good/crap it is...I can't figure out how stupid iTunes is...with all the DRM and everything. stopped buying iTunes music long ago....took me more than $500 to learn though..lost all my songs/audiobooks with no way of getting em back.

 

Out of those, Creative Zen Vision:M 30 GB MP3 and Video Player. As easy as iTunes makes buying music and all that, it comes nicely pre-packaged with DRM. So just buy the CDs in a shop and rip them at home for your mp3 player.

 

I use an ipod and itunes. I love how they both work together, its just so easy to use, even if iTunes 7.0 has a few issues with it.

though creative Zen has an added advantage that you dont need to convert the video i.e. you can even play .dat files where as in Ipod you need to convert the video files to .mp4 / then sync / then have fun

 

I'd say iPod that's the one I'd choose

lmao Do not get the Zune...they're having some problems and a lot of returns are being reported.

Go with Creative, Apple is an overpriced whore...(ironic...I own an iPod...)

 

I would agree there. I have the 60GB Creative and havent had one problem yet, brilliant player.

 

I go with iPod.
