I was wondering, since I have been thinking about advertising my site more aggressively, what is the best (besides Adwords) PPC advertising program?

There are only three PPC engines you would want to use

    Google Adwords

    Yahoo SEM

    Microsoft AdCenter

All the others perform horribly or are malware infested junk. There are some rare exceptions but the keyword here is RARE...very rare anyone finds success with the others.

This is especially true when you consider the top 3 own 95% of all real search traffic.

    :)

    I agree with Sem-Advice!

Google is the top PPC network. I always test with Adwords first then move on to the other networks: Yahoo and MSN.

    Good Luck!

I wouldn’t discount the Adbrite Full Page ad option. I’ve had great success with a video game fanfiction site by using Adbrite for Full Page ads on FanFiction.net. Many visitors have Ad blinds on, but you can’t ignore a page that loads completely in your browser. Just make sure your header conveys what the site is about with a 2 second glance and that the site your advertising on is related.
