    Hey,

I was just having a read up on the new Boeing 787's that are in developement and to begin testing by the end of this year.

Having read the wiki page I found the following quote could be a slight alarm?

Sure it's safe if they have the correct security but then again if someone is sitting on a plane with a laptop and any software they wish then surely that should raise a slight concern?

They can put in most types of security for networks but I'm sure someone out there would be able to get around this as when people want access to something they can usually find a way around it.

I'm not saying it could or would be done but if someone took control of one of these aircrafts from their laptop and then flew it as if it was a flight simulator ...

I'm sure it will be fine but just made me wonder how secure these on plane networks would be.

I agree. All systems have security holes. But let us trust Boeing that they know what they are doing.
