Hi, How valuable is a one way backlink from submitting your site to yell.com for £400 per year as it has a PR7 and Alexa score of 2,259 Is it worth it from a directory and backlink point of view? Jimbob
That's a pretty high Alexa score... It might be worth giving a try. It all depends where they place your link on thier site. You might want to look at exaxtly how they do all this. You could have the greatest site in the world linked, but it won't mean darn thing if people don't see the link.
At a glance it looks like a good place to have your site listed but actual links going to someones website has a no-follow attribute. Hence, for google you should not get any link juice from it. Other SE's may however. All in all a fairly sound decision I would say based on their traffic, etc. hope that helps, Nigel
PR does not matter in this case. The benefit has nothing to do with ranking anything. Its about folks being able to find you, much like a normal tree killing phone book Nigel
That's right... The more links posted about your site, the better, reguardless of the PR. That's a good one Nigel.
