Can anyone tell me what are the benefits of using yahoo or there are no benefits? Is google more beneficial?
Using yahoo, What, as a search engine ? Its cluttered with information, pictures and other graphics including daily news, editors video choices and lots more ( way to much info for me). This is exactly the type of home page i would expect from a hair stylist or other gossip/fashion/trending interest related person. The results from most of my searches are from old sites or old pages, they seem to be very very slow at getting fresh information. If your not convinced simply do the same search in google bing yahoo , then looking at the results each brings up.. which set of results is what you were actualy looking for. Of them which contain good specific information? Here's my test I Know what i want to find i want to know how many broadband connections in the uk! Its a number.. so what is that number? search: how many broadband connections in the uk (no quotes, no special / advanced search methods) Bing 1. Broadband.co.uk Dedicated to finding the best broadband for you.. (fail) 2. Broadband Beginner's Guide - page 2 - Broadband.co.uk Dedicated to ... (double fail, its the same website) 3. Internet access - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (fail you cant trust wiki when looking for statistical data) 4. Ofcom | Ask us - Internet Service - How many broadband connections ... (Half way there, the page is mostly blank with the text "For all the latest broadband information, check out our Facts and Figures page." which you then need to follow.) Over all , Bing you failed. Yahoo had the exact same results only in a slightly different order. 1. Ofcom | Ask us - Internet Service - How many broadband connections ... (Half way there, the page is mostly blank with the text "For all the latest broadband information, check out our Facts and Figures page." which you then need to follow.) 2. Broadband.co.uk Dedicated to finding the best broadband for you.. (fail) 3. Broadband Beginner's Guide - page 2 - Broadband.co.uk Dedicated to ... (double fail, its the same website) 4. Internet access - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (fail you cant trust wiki when looking for statistical data) Over all , Yahoo you failed. Google 1. How many broadband connections are there in the UK? - Ask Ofcom (Bingo! Success the number i was looking for? its "18.8m End 2011") 2. i dont care , i found the answer 3. still not bothered Over all , Google you got it right Result number 1. on page 1 was from the Governing body of all telecoms in the UK and the page you took me to had the answer!) So next time you look for something look on the top 3 search engines , what ever engine gives you the information you were looking for ? That is the 'best' one for you and you only. If you meant as a webmaster? Its sure nice to be listed but be prepaid to wait years if not forever to have all your pages listed!
Yahoo does have the potential of being as good as Google, yet they decide to look other way around. Yahoo focuses more on older more established content on the web, where Google doesn't use this signal as a weak signal. It's very hard to come up with any reason on why you would use Yahoo over Google.
i think the benefit of using yahoo answer is that we can get real answer from the most reliable source.
I'd recommend using both and doing SEO for both. If you can get traffic from more than one source, that's a great thing.
I do agree with Gifts From Scotland. Nice experiment mate, Google is undoubtedly the number 1 SE, and provides the best results....
Yahoo has good traffic which can be targeted to your websites quite easily. One of the easier ways of this can be using the Yahoo answers. If you give the answers to the related questions, and leave your signature, chances are you might have good traffic to your host site.
Yahoo have a good and awesome messenger, I like to read yahoo news. I like the design of yahoo mail and I daily use yahoomail. We can play games. Can See images through flickr. Can see finance and stock updates.
To me, Google is more user friendly than Yahoo. There is no specific benefit for using Google or Yahoo. It’s all about your choice.
I like to use Google as it is user friendly and fast too than yahoo. Yahoo Mail also don't provide service like Google. I don't think there is any extra benefit in using Yahoo.
Google has the more benefits than the Yahoo for best results and now Google has the social networking site rather than the yahoo messenger so Google is more beatifically than the Yahoo.
