Benefits of using <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOARCHIVE">?

The content on several of my pages changes on a daily basis so the cached pages are always out of date. I've considered adding the above, but just wanted to check whether it would in any way be detrimental.

    Opinions please.

Don't add this. It will stop search engines caching your pages - why would you want this?

There is no problem with a cached page being out of date.

I see no problem in adding this. I plan on using it too.

The index pages are still index and can still rank high even if it is not in the cache.

I can see that cloakers would love to do this. But for other purposes, frequent updates like what JackR said is a valid reason.

Hm, I'd like more information on what this meta tag does and how it effects rankings of your site in search engines please. Any link or explanation availalble? :)

It does not affect your ranking. It just avoids your page being displayed in the cache view of the search engines. (btw thanks to Greg who told me about the tag when I asked why his site has no cache.)

The agreeable on several of my pages changes on a circadian base so the buried pages are consistently out of date. I've advised abacus the above, but just capital to analysis whether it would in any way be detrimental.
