Can anyone tell me what is the real benefits of using directories. Any good source of submitting your sites to directories??

 

do-follow backlinks and sometime.. get some traffic when doing this... What do you want more for a free service (in most cases)

I find ranking for keywords is a benefit from them.

 

They are good for building link quantity (but not quality). Surrounded with right keywords and in good quantity they also bring low-freq queries up in SEs.

Select good directories with page rank and also consider paying for the link - e.g. Yahoo directory listing.

the directories are send a very few visitors, some of them do not send more than 1 visitor / month.

Maybe you are referring at the best directories like dmoz, or paid big ones, like yahoo !

 

Getting links from quality, established and niche directories will help your site. As for traffic it is unlikely you will get much if any.

Look for links from directories in your niche. If you want traffic from a directory you will need to get your link sitewide or on the front page.
