Benefit to submit our website in Regional Category while directory submission?

Can I use "Regional Category" while directory submission?

I have seen that many webmasters are submitting their website link in regional category (during directory submission) instead of most relevant category.

    For example :

www urladdy com/regional/north-america (please add . after www & before com)

www freehomeownerquote com/regional/north-america (please add . after www & before com)

Please suggest me which category is the best for us while directory submission - Regional category OR most relevant category (i.e. shopping, travel, health etc.)

    Best Regards

It is better to add to most relevant categories. From my own experience, if you have a shop, it is much better to add it to SHOPPING categories than regional.

It is better to submit to the most relevant category where the chance of getting noticed is greater than other categories where you are least likely to be found. Now what would be the use if you submit and no one can find you or worse get your link removed.
