benefit of search term as domain name?

    lets say a given search phrase has 5000 searches per month, would there be any value by registering this phrase as the domain?

    lets say its a name, would u rather register www.firstnamelastname.com or
    www.firstname-lastname.com?

    will this help you rank in the search engines provided on page and offpage seo is similar to competitors?

    just a coincidence that most celeb sites with firstlastname.com rank on the first page of google , yahoo etc for that respective name?
