Benefit of having a site in Google News

I had a betting tips site that went from ~200 hits per hour to several thousand the second we got on google news. Well worthwhile.

 

just got another site listed

 

I've been accepted too, they said my stories should start appearing in a couple of weeks.

 

sweet our site is already showing up in G news. Traffic just went through the roof!!!!

 

My football website was accepted, but I had to change my articles to include at least three numbers in the URL. Once I did, my traffic has gone up significantly. This really motivates me to put out more articles...the other day I was fortunate enough to have one of my articles listed on the front of Google News Sports mains section.

 

I don't understand that, why did you have to change your URL to include 3 numbers?

 

yeah we had to change our urls as well.

 

What do Google ask you to change your URLs?

 

It has something to do with google wanting a "unique" URL

How long does it take approximately from the the time of your submission till the day you get your site listed in G news?

 

It took me 2 days to be accepted and they said

So I'm still waiting for that.

well even i was searching how to get into gn, this thread has helped me, i'll submit a site today
