if you have a site listed in Google news, have you seen any direct benefit? traffic links. Just wondering if there is any real value in having a site listed
I too, wonder about this. There is the monetary benefit, and my assumption is that it does matter, I just wonder how much it affects one's income because I haven't seen a lot of discussion about it. Anyone? Stuart
You can get a ton of traffic. Google news is like Google without a billion competing websites and serps that changed drasticly every hour or so. You can pick up links too - bloggers tend to blog about things in Google News.
well as of right now i have submitted two sites. one was rejected (twice) and the other was accepted. For the on that was accpeted i tried to show the "unique" value my site brought If you want I can PM you the letter i sent them.
I'd love to see it also, could you send it this way? Maybe in the future I may submit my site to GN. Stuart
I didn't do anything too special. I just inforced the idea that we are "canadian" and that we offer a unique prospective
I submitted a site a few weeks ago and got denied. They didn't really give me any reasons. I guess I'll wait a few more weeks and resubmit?
The letter may play a tiny part in the approval process but it's the site that matters most. When I sent them an e-mail about my site (that was later approved) it said "great news site for topic"...that was it.
I got into G news by submitting a press release along with $32 to PRweb. Going to try it again Monday.
Thats how I did it and now when I search for a string pattern from my press release I get about 29,000 hits just for that unique pattern, so lots of people picked it up. I haven't analyzed my clients weblogs or conversion logs yet to see if it helped.
