Google its irrational. Check old threads here, at WMW or any other respected webmaster forum and inform yourself. Google can filter/slap any site FOR NO REASON. Thats irrational, wouldn't you agree?

Interesting post everyone. I find it interesting that people think that Google cannot penalize you for incoming links...how come, then, when Google recognizes "bad neighborhoods" and you have a link from them, your site gets penalized too?

Also, how relevant is searching "domain name" without the .com and NOT showing up first? I have many sites that rank well for their keywords but they do not rank when you type in just the domain name on Google.

Ok i will agree partly my friend cause will all have seen googles abnormal behavor, but in general it has some logic. Some times though there is an irrational behavor, but based in my experience it always come to normal.

If google can peanalize your site for bad neighborhood or external factors then just think how many they will be living by just threating others by "pay me or i will put ur link to my bad site".A lot of times google and especialy matt are misinform webmastrers and seos to keep them inline.

Sounds to me the SEO has built up links too quickly, and now you are penaslised for it. It has happened to me before and now once again lol, all I did was continue to build backlinks however at a slower rate, and everything came back to normal and in some cases better than previously. It did take some time however, around 2-3 weeks.

Tera, we don't use black hat, but the problems is Google has changed their definition of "Black Hat". I had no idea until recently that "Reciprocal Link Exchanges" are not considered as an attempt to manipulate the Google PR ranking and as such is grounds for being banned!!!

I agree!! Google is going way to far!!

Based on Google's opinion of how links are now supposed to come naturally, we all need to quit doing whatever we do (Sell Widgets, etc) and create a blog and start writing unique content. I don't want to become a Blog Expert just to sell my products! That is ridiculous.

I guess in the future the only job that will exists are Web SEO Experts because no one will have time to do anything else, just to meet Googles demands... Next week they will change their mind and it will be a new hoop we have to jump thru.

Go off your site. delete on your hosting, wait several days maybe 5 and get it back again. Or change your hosting and follow what I said. You will be love by google again.

    Hi John,

Could you explain that in proper sentences? Having trouble understanding it...

From what I can understand: Delete all contents on my site, wait days until google spiders my deleted site, reload all contents back onto the site and everything should be fine? Or change hosting provider?

I would love to but as of yet, I can't seem to find a way to contact them. Somewhere I found an email that was but that only triggers a canned response to use the forms.

I did a resubmit in the Google Webmaster Tools but only got back an email saying they had completed the review. I've heard Google isn't much on Customer Service so if anyone knows how to contact the Google Admins, please let me know.
