Believe in God? Do You Believe That All You Own Is Yours?

The thread may sound silly to some. I am clear about my own opinion about this question.

I believe in God & I do not think that we should be too proud of anything & try our best to keep depositing things for the sake of mere satisfaction when they can't be really useful to us.

We all know of people that own several billions of dollars. And they still keep making loads of money every single second. Nothing wrong in making money, but i think that if God has given you a chance to make money, then you must try to help out others that do not have enough to feed them, to educate their children, to treat their health problems and so on..

I don't believe in the supremacy of any particular religion. I believe in One God & that all religions praise the same One God.

*How much money can you actually use in your lifetime?

*Do you believe in stacking up loads of cash, much much more than you can actually use.

*Do you think that when you die, all your money must go to a charity rather than to your family / relatives? (so that if you didn't help anyone thinking that you may have to use the money for yourself, you can at least benefit poor guys after your death?)

*No person in this world knows whether he or she will live the next minute or not, still we do not want to help out any needy person in any way?

P.S I'm not trying to sound like a reformer or religious ***. Just want to hear wat you guys think about this. It could be a good thing to discuss rather than all that movie/TV BS. If you have read all through up to this line, then you do seem to have an opinion about this. So what do you guys/girls think about this?

That's way too many questions so I'm only going to answer one.

I'd rather have my family get every cent after I die than a charity.

Unless I'm Bill Gates rich. lol

Yes, this is what 99.9% people will do. Whatever i am saying here, i may not live up to it. Who knows? I may.
The reality is that I'll try my best.. Seems like most people are unclear about these things.
I didn't have any "nice" topic to start. So thought to share with you all what goes in my mind many times.. Many elders in our family have been associated with social organisations.. so it comes naturally to me..

The poor do not need charity... the poor need inspiration.

Go out and make as much money as you can.
"God" wants you to make money... shitloads of money.

    :)

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"
This stands true but it is not a justification for not helping the needy people.

Yes, i do wanna make more money. I'll do whatever God wants me to do.

One thing that irks me sometimes is that some people are too rude to you, even if you are sincere towards them & don't have anything bad in mind. Richer people are more likely to show such behavior.

I know that money is important for all, infact it is the most important 'thing' for most persons. But we must not forget that "money" isn't your cousin and it doesn't stay with a single person for long. It keeps changing hands.

Well, I fail to understand why people makes more money than what they will ever get to spend (or their descendence, or the descendence of their descendence).
Oh, and I don't believe in god, and if there were one, it wouldn't matter to me, since I'm screwed up since I was born, so I wouldn't even care.

I believe in God, & that everything I own is just borrowed. However, I do think this thread belongs somewhere else (specifically the Politics & Religion board). :)

What you own isn't yours as, you know, "you can't take it with you"

Your job is to make as much money as humanly possible, having the mind to invest that in a way that will help other people.

Why is your greedy acquisition of money a good thing?

Think of it in terms of easy come, easy go: This is the only real way to view money.
It NEEDS to flow freely as money that is stored up and stagnant will lose value, decay, and rot. $1 today is worth less tomorrow; so much wisdom in how we should live our lives in that.

Make your money and invest it so other people can make their money.

Take it upon yourself to be an employer in 5 years, not an employee.

Um... Those questions can easily be answered by just stating what religion you are.

I do agree with you to some extent. First, all religions are not worshiping the SAME God. Their various Religious books would have agreed with one another...for example there's a great disparity between the Bible and Koran when it comes to the personality of Jesus Christ...I don't want to go into any details here.
Coming to the issue of money, men love making a lots of it even if they do not have need of it because it has become their god. The love of money, the Bible says is the root of evil. Most of the billionaires in the world are pagans or atheist...their minds have been blinded by the great deceiver-satan! The only god they know is money.Their greatest enemy is death. It takes a spiritual mind to comprehend the things of the spirit.

It's good to share your wealth with charities and causes you believe in. It's really one of my favorite things about making a decent living, being able to give money to the causes I believe in. I would like to be able to make more money so that I could give more.

Hey Roman, there are many ways you could define "chaos". What we have today, is not "chaos". Chaos is something else.

I need not say more, I guess everyone can understand what I'm trying to say :)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, taking an awful lot of time scrambling for answers. Guess justifying posts with no thought put into them can get quite chaotic;)
