http://www.londonescorts.net/ This is an old domain that has always been PRed3 - why would it go down to PR1? May be I shouldn't have added it to 90 directories?
Don't sweat it. The toolbar has plenty of glitches. My advice is to un-install the GoogleSpyBar and go have a few ales.
It seems possible that some of the PR3 came from sites that have now been stopped from passing PR - footer links on irrelevant sites etc. The first link that showed up in backlinkwatch.com for your site - from a comment you had made on a PR5 page - looked to be 'nofollow' on the site but not in backlinkwatch - so maybe the status of that link has changed recently, which could have a big impact on your PR. My experience (though unprovable and I don't plan to repeat the test!) suggests that submitting a site quickly to lots of poor quality directories when it doesn't already have lots of links can have a negative effect on the SERPS, but not on PR. But submitting to 90 directories when you already have 500 links shouldn't affect things negatively I don't think. Just keep getting quality links from relevant sites. Of course the most important thing isn't the PR it's whether your visitor numbers have fallen (unless you make a lot from selling links)... Cheers
Hello, I'm sure, your link was on a PR3 or high page, and right now they get rid your link, try to linkexchange with other related sites or try to "buy" some related links... My 2 cents, Jakomo
I think the value of PR is not in itself but in the webmasters who only care about PR when exchanging links. I know perfectly well that right now with PR1 I am getting more visitors from SEs than I used to with PR3. It is a matter of how succesfull your link exchange is going to be, that is what all the fuss about
Yup, all of my sub domains on inkart.net that were 3s dropped to 1 or 0. The root was a 4 and remained one, so who knows?
As you added - the site to 90 directories - I was just wondering which directories. So - I Googled and found them. http://www.google.com/search?q=www.londonescorts.net&hl=en&start=0&sa=N Have not found any directory to note. Please remember -- Google is filtering out directories and counting only quality directories. So next time you think of adding to directories -- first find out which directories are of quality --and then make a budget and add them. If you have problem in selecting them -- lemme know.
Because of removal of backlinks it may happen you have good site keep good link building activity and you will have again high pr.
Buying links at this time isn't such a great idea. Google is toying with some new filters that are nullifying these bought links.
Hmm you mentioned submitting to 90 directories. From what I understand, if there is a sudden surge of increase in backlinks, somehow google detects that and due to that, tey may decrease the PR of a site. That is why I never do mass submission of backlinks from directories within a short period of time. A good thing would be to spread it out and submit linkts to directories bit by bit.
