Being on Google 1st page ? How much $ ?

build backlinks, use blog commenting, aritcle submissions, directory submissions, RSS feeds for your site. I was on page 3 of Google for my search term in Feb 08, now I'm on page 1, in position 3.

I got their by building links to my site with relevant content on relevant sites and forums. You can do it too!

I think I've paid out in the region of $1500 since Feb 08! However the sales have been TRIPPLE what they normally were!

 

Not everybody has your luck. Also, I was thinking to pay the guy because I don't have enough time to spend with my website promotion...

 

Then I assume your time spending on SEO (if it would be) will cost more than that $150, right ? So why everyone else would do it for that money ?

Scumers always will be, no matter what. Problem is that somewhere written it's cheap (or should be cheap) then people want to put few hundreds and get rich.

 

All they will do is put 50% of your money onto adwords, this will get you top on google (in sponsored links tho). All you need to do is get about 10 links pointing to your site a day and try and add 5 pages of content to your site per week

 

That's pretty easy. I write each day on my blog and I can post 10 comments a day to 10 dofollow blogs. Easy job.

 

It may just be me but I think the whole, I need to get on page one is over rated. Sure it might be an eventual goal, but it should not be your main focus. Your main focus should be to improve, improve, improve. If you spend your time building quality content, links, and improve your product, you will get business. If you put all your energy into getting to the first page, you havent anytime for these things and you are neglecting your customers, readers, visitors and it gets around fast. Everyone starts from the ground up, building quality is much more important than being on the first page. If you make your visitors happy, they will be sure to pass the word on for you.

 

It is depend on your keyword.....However, suggest to improve on the content

 

Total scam, 150$ is something you would pay for a low searches keword.

 

those keywords are really hard and i bet no one that knows SEO would charge $150 to get you on the 1st page. it's something that would cost you thousands and it will take a lot of time to get there.

 

A few words of advice: no-one can guarantee first page rankings

 

80 quid a month for top 10 rankings, he is got to be kidding you not unless he plans to rank your website on some obscure keyword which is not competitive and has a very low search volume. That would be easy as a pie and should not even deserve 80 quids a month.

Check with him and see if he is willing to rank the website on your targeted terms. Ask for samples and references and make sure you don't pay him in advance.
