No, why will it hurt your rankings ? but ya, don't interlink sites too much to make it look like a ring.

Dont worry it wont hurt you rankings.

Most websites share IP address with hundreds of other sites.

I even have similar sites on same IP and they rank #1-5 for very tough keywords, so dont always trust what you read ;-)

It does not hurt you, however you have to be very careful about linking between the sites.

yeah .. like everybody is saying ... you should not interlink your website in the shared IP ... if so .. you are inviting yourself to trouble ...

I don't mean to be rude but it's an old issue. and for the newbies in the field, there are some pros and cons in shared ip address and you don't have to worry much about it coz in general, it won't hurt your rankings

As long as you don't interlink them all there's not a problem.

If you are worried, check out HostGator's SEO Hosting. They'll give you a solid deal on a WHM / cPanel setup split over 5 IP's with different C-classes.

That's SEO logic from 1998 when there were plenty of IP#'s to give out. They've run out of them years ago. It's not a big deal anymore.
