I was wondering, I am in the Environmental Career field. Most of my content I get from news about the enviroment (ie - the water shortage, water quality, etc) This is also my career field as well.

What is the compliance status for google adsense, to place an article (as long as it' snot ALL of it...I heard that you can post a paragraph of the article on YOUR site/blog...and then have a "read more" link and trace it back to the actual source.

Because I like to follow the "Water shortage" In this nation. And kind of keep a "portal" a resource point about such information, but I don't want to violate copyright either.

    Thank you.

From a copyright point of view, each source will have a different policy. Some sites will allow you to copy all the article as long as you mention (usually link to) that source. Check the site's policy (copyright, creative commons license, etc.).

From the AdSense point of view as long as you are not violating any copyright law, it's OK to place ads. But of course Google (as a search engine) doesn't like (as in "won't rank good") articles that are simple copy-pasting.

Sound like a waste to me. You could publish a paragraph, or even other sites RSS' but it will all be considered duplicate content.

From a SEO pov, you'll need original content.
