    Hi!

I'm new on this forum, and I hope to meet a lot of nice people and good support — maybe I can contribute on differents threads too. :) And I hope my bad English don't will annoy you too much.

I own the domain BeijingOlympics 200 8.com (the spaces is because of SEO-reasons). I have owned the domain for a while, but now I don't know what to do with it.

I wonder if you have an idea for the domain? Or maybe I should sell it? I could sell the domain if someone have a bid.

    Cheers

It's too bad you didn't do anything :)

But I think there is still value in it... put up a blog describing the history and some of the events and the results of the games (who won what) etc, and it will get traffic.

Also, put up affiliate links to Amazon, eBay, etc for memorabilia, collectibles.

I'd give you $100 for it but I have so many projects already.

Thx for great tips, LinkBliss! :) I appreciate that!

I have thought about something similar, maybe I would do that you say, the blog thing.

I'm still open for several bids! :)

You can't sell it here just yet :)

It's one of those domains that you buy to use now and discard when it's done it's job... and all it can really do now is act as an archive, historical reference etc as linkbliss described.

you should have sold it roughly six months before the games imo. Good luck with it.

    Thanks for the suggestions. :)

If I set up the site with e.g. a WP blog with results, historial reference, etc. from the olympics, can I then get some bucks, you think?

That is history... So now you can create web site there. In any case I suppose you can sell that domain name on SEDO Domainnews or namepros forums

Some MBA kid bought http://www.chicago2016.com a while back and is not selling. I think if Chicago gets the games he'll be able to sell the domain and retire.
