Behind Digital Point?

    I was curious is their a specially meaning behind the name "Digital Point?" Obviously, Digital, computer related. But what about Point? What's that referring to?

    Think Shawn said the logo started as a doodle - one of the things you do in a lecture when you would rather do something else.

    If you google "point" though DP beats out sitepoint. Im sure that is shawns main keyword he was focusing on.

    "Point" is just another word for a specific place, so it works well for forums (gathering places with a specific purpose - here, to discuss webmaster issues).

    I always thought the logo came about when Shawn decided he was going to be a superhero and was designing the emblem for his costume.

    Then he thought, "What's the point? Lycra doesn't suit me... and it chafes in delicate places."

    And DP was born... :D

    The logo actually looks like a tattoo design to me.
    Yea DP is waay bigger (in terms of google) compared to Sitepoint. DP has some pretty high PR pages believe it or not.
