Beginning The Game

I have a few general questions (if anybody cares to share their input):

    1) How do you research for your products? Something tested and proven, or something that's a "hot hit" in the market?

    2) When researching (let's say it is your first product), do you test anything before you build your landing page (KWs/conversions/CTR) on a direct link to the offer?

    3) How do you decide if you want to enter the market? I understand there is potential profit in every market, but how do you decide to enter or dump it?

    4) If you spend hours/days/weeks building a campaign/landing page(s) and then begin to promote your offer and it flops, how long/much $$ do you spend before killing the campaign?

If any of these questions are too direct, I understand, but I'm really just looking for some additional help!

I would assume direct promoting to the offer wouldn't be a bad idea to see if the product is generally decent, and then you can work on checking KW results and some possible CTR on your ads?

    Thanks again, in advance --

    1) See the competition. Hot products sometimes are easy to sell. Pick up 5-6 products and test, then choose the best converting one. Repeat.
    2) You can try with direct link - fast and easy to check whether campaign is profitable or not.
    3) Do you need a special market or just earn money? What is your goal?
    4) Normally if you see that the product converts with direct linking, it should convert with LP too taking into account that Adwords will cost you cheaper with your own LP if well done... I will stop and look for the wrong points if my expences two times more then 1 affiliate commision....
    Hope it helps :p

    Thanks a lot hotbacon.

Hoping to start making some money.

My biggest issue would be KW research at this point. Hard finding those KWs that do convert!

It tough to market hot products but that is a good strategy. I think you should join basically hundreds of CJ and Linkshare Program and either build one big shopping mall/coupon code site or a bunch of niche sites or blogs. Then fill them with content and product reviews to match the merchants that you are promoting and away you go...lol

Basically you don't have to use thousands of keywords, start with small groups. Then - test and track and you will find winners!
