    tell me steps and tools to begin with php website development wil cms.I am completely new to php and want to make some websites in php on my local computer for practice .I am using xamp server on my local machine

    I'd start by installing Joomla, Drupal or WordPress and playing around with them, knowing what their CMS structure and backends are like, viewing the database and seeing how it all fits together. Then I'd look at how you install plugins or modifications and finally I'd write one of my own - that's where the actual programming starts.

    I'd pick a plugin someone has already done, write yours and then run through yours and theirs side by side and look at how they've coded it differently and why. Could be that they thought of something you didn't, or perhaps you did something better.

    Do you want to write sites? Or do you want to install sites that have already been written? There's a BIG difference.

    If you want to learn php then stat learning the php but if you just want to make websites then use php code generaters like PHP runner .....................

    Bro,

    Go for scritpcase as your code generator, it makes me develop things at least 3 times faster, totaly recomend you. Scriptcase is not database driven like the others it is application oriented, you would like!
