Beginnersworld.com PR4 link directory

Hello,

I have never sold a site before so please bare with me if this post does not meet all the necessary criteria.

I am looking to sell beginnersworld.com. It is a PR4 (was as high as 5) link directory running PHPLD. For the past year we have required reciprical links, and have continued to get a good amount of submissions, as well as paid featured link submissions.

At time of posting we have 6846 active links and 112 Categories. I have not spent much of any time at all maintaining this site for some time now.

The site serves yahoo ads and is a member of ISEDN. I did some customizations to the software to serve google news articles as well.

To be honest the revenue from the yahoo ads is not great, but I am not allowed to serve google ads which would probably perform significantly better imho.

I will run this as an auction for 7 days with the bidding starting at $100.

After reading some other selling posts, I have added some info.

hosting: Hosting will need to be provided for the site. It's very low bandwidth but the site's current host is going out of business, so it will need to be transferred.

domain: the domain is registered at godaddy and can be transferred to the winner.

backlinks: yahoo backlink checker isn't wrking at the moment, but MSN says 3,400. google backlink says 93.

traffic: averaging 3-5K pages per day. see attached image

To answer both questions,

Yahoo revenue is probably around 20 dollars a month. Again, if this were google it would probably perform much better based on that kind of traffic.

The ISEDN revenue is also pretty negligible, probably about 25 dollars a quarter.

why u cant run google?

 

I can't run google ads because I was banned in the very earliest days of adsense.

 

Hello, would you be able to tell me - was it you personally who was banned from adsense or the website begginnersworld.com?

So what i'm getting at is that if the buyer has an active adsense account, will we be able to put it up on the site?

 

I was banned long before beginnersworld existed.

So I would assume that the purchaser would be able to use their existing and valid adsense account without issue, but that would be a question probably best answered by google's TOS, or maybe in the adsense forums of this site.
