Just wrote an article on GIMP last week and felt to share with you guys Gimp Beginners Tutorial It's a very basic one and most of you may not find it very useful but it is for those who just want to learn GIMP in 5 minutes for simple image editing work Why waste $$$ when you have powerful tool like Gimp in hand.
I just found Gimp the other day and used it briefly to help touch up some graphic elements for a website template I was modifying. It seems like a really good image editor. Your article was really basic and described functions that are for the most part intuitive. If you publish an article that takes a graphic design noob through the steps of manipulating images to create a website template (including how to change the color scheme for an existing image with color gradients), I think you would have something worthy of digging. My 2 cents.
Bernard, I am myself very new to Gimp so writing an advanced tutorial was out of question but I will keep your advice in mind and in future will surely write something better Cheers
