Hi, my friend has just got Adsense and he is getting around $2/click and his lowest is $0.50. They are only proxies so no high keywords... Is it because hes only just started so google give more to encourage? Or beginners's luck? Cheers.
When I started I got some pretty good returns right off the bat, however overtime you'll see that drop and average out. The main thing is getting people to your site in a continual fashion.
You need a few months to sort out your real earnings. I started good as well but my CPC is nearly half of my early times.
no regardless of how good the niche is the EPC will drop off significantly after a couple days maximum a week. Sorry to be negative but its the truth. Unless your getting a shit load of constant real good quality traffic
its not a matter of them cheating. Its just they judge the website based on multiple factors and then decide your epc based on that
don't forget to consider advertisers changing their max bid at different times, perhaps they have daily budgets, they could choose to stop site they don't want showing their ads all these - over time - will affect your earnings
yah i know....but still, highly doubtful that it will keep paying that high. Do you wanna tell us more about the kind of traffic and/or the niche
I had real good payment per click in my first week but then it went down to around 5-10 cents a click. Once my website started getting a lot of traffic and my PR went up my clicks went up again but not much to around 20-30 cents a click. I remember the good ole days when I was getting a dollar a click for a entertainment niche.
I remember my first few clicks were $ 2 too. that really got me thinking that wow this could be the thing that i am looking for but with time that faded away
it's not a new account,it's a new site.most of all my sites have gotten a $1+ click when i first put adsense on it,even my arcade. once goggle bot gets active, you'll see the real cpc that you should expect for the life of the site.
I would actually think that it was just beginners luck. He got in the market in a specific niche at the right time if you ask me.
