Hey guys i'm new to this forum, so i'd like to share with you my free to read search engine optimisation guide for beginners. I hope it comes in useful for people, let me know what you think, the techniques ive described in the book are the sole way ive got to the top of google for many keyword searches having only learnt about seo myself over the past year. You can either download a copy for your desktop or read it online. Just visit http://www.jodebooks.com/ebooks/search-engine-optimisation.aspx Regards Jonathan
Thanks a lot for the post. I will read it as soon as I have enough time to see what it recommends . There is always something new to learn.
Here is a pretty good article on seo that I work.. It talks about robot.txt http://blog.uwantads.com/index.php?catid=5
Good for beginners.. Some SEO tasks are missing I could not see "Google Webmaster Tools(sitemap, site diagnostic, etc)" section Thanks
Hi guys thanks for the feedback, well i dont have PDF version available, but i can assure you the .exe is virus free and is published out of flash so its safe to download and use, the reason why i use this format of book ive designed is it makes for a much easier read than pdfs. I guess to tackle this issue ill put a safe guarantee notice on my search engine optimisation page about it. Ill take note of google web master tools and diagnostic, thx for that Troy, when i have time ill do some research into them. The book isnt aimed at covering everything, but is a decent starting point for the average person wanting to do their own SEO.
By the way, the book is free to distribute so if anyone would like to use the .exe files for free download on their websites be my guest.
By the way im looking to keep on developing the book to help people learn more than just what i know. So if anyone has any extra knowledge or chapters to add, id gladly put their knowledge into the book as well with a link to your name or website etc. I'd like to thank the people take the time reading my book. Im still learning alot about SEO everyday and hope to learn more from these forums. Regards Jonathan Carey
One thing about writing a book for beginners is not to be one. If you want to advertise or recommend a site/link, then do it. You used: http://www.jodebooks.com/ebooks/search-engine-optimisation.aspx ALWAYS USE http://www.jodebooks.com/ebooks/search-engine-optimisation.aspx Or SEO Book For Beginners This will place a link to the book, a back link to the site and you teach someone how to use a forum to create a "LINK". The "Insert Link" command in the toolbar of the forums help you do this. One link per post is usally acceptable, more than three is not.
