Firstly I would like to ask why does Adobe After Effects lags so much when I play it (from the preview). This lag doesn't happen to Premiere Pro nor Sony Vegas Pro 9?
Secondly what are the settings to export as a HD Youtube video? Do I export as Windows Media, H.264 or Quicktime? And what are the codecs to use and so on? Using Vegas there weren't so many choices so it was easier; all I did was to File>Render As>Sony AVC (for the "Save as type") and choose "Internet 16:9 HD 30p" as the template. So can anybody advise on the settings for creating a 16:9 widescreen HD 30p video for upload to Youtube? Edit: With a stroke of luck and some tweaking about I got this. File size is about 30% smaller than the one rendered by Vegas, quality looks almost identical (couldn't place my finger on which is better though) and these are the settings: Export Settings Format: H.264 Preset: Youtube 16-9 HD Comments: For rendering of 16:9 HD Youtube videos. Filters Gaussian Blur unchecked Multiplexer Multiplexing: MP4 Stream Compatibility: Standard Video Basic Video Settings Codec: MainConcept H.264 Video TV Standard: NTSC Frame Width: 1280 Frame Height: 720 Frame Rate [fps]: 29.97 Field Order: disabled Pixel Aspect Ratio: Widescreen 16:9 Profile: Baseline Level: 3.2 Bitrate Settings Bitrate Encoding: VBR, 1 Pass Target Bitrate [Mbps]: 6 Maximum Bitrate [Mbps]: 10 Advanced Settings Set Key Frame Distance unchecked Audio Audio Format Settings Audio Format: AAC Basic Audio Settings Codec: AAC Output Channels: Stereo Frequency: 48kHz Audio Quality: High Bitrate Settings Bitrate [kbps]: 192 Advanced Settings Precedence: Frequency Others Blank! P/S: I chose Baseline as the profile for video because that's what it says on the Sony Vegas's Render settings page. The weird thing is that for Sony Vegas, after choosing Baseline I can still change the Field Order, but for PP the Field Order becomes disabled. Anybody knows why?
