beginner to twitter

hello,
i am planning to use twitter for my business. after signing up, how can i get followers? i need some strategy from experienced people

 

Before getting followers, make sure you do the following:

-Add information about yourself in your profile - people tend to click away from profiles that don't express what they do or are interested in
-Place either a photo of yourself as your avatar or the logo of your company so people will have a "face" to reference when they do see your tweets
-Create an interesting background image instead of using the 12 default designs - this will make you stand out in your business

As of 6/15/2012, some accounts are unable to upload a custom Twitter background because of a bug. I would check every so often with Support to see when you can add your image.

Once you have these tasks completed, tweet a few things related to your business that would be of interest to the people you are targeting. After that, search for people in your field and follow them. After awhile you'll get people to follow you back and you can decide if you want to follow them or not.

Twiends.com is a free site that will allow you to find people who share the same interests as you if you are having problems with getting follows. Hope this helps.

Start following people that are interested in whatever you're promoting. Post relevant tweet about your business such as limited time promotions.

 

Do a search on twitter search for keywords in your niche, then follow those people then promote your page on social media and blogs etc. Good luck
