I just realized the word "campaign" is about the oddest looking word in the dictionary. Cam..."paign" loosk like such a mess, like a horrible typo of camping. Anyways, I am going to be signing up at Google Adwords in the near future. I will be doing a trial run with an Adwords voucher to see how it goes, possibly investing more in the future. Just a few questions, but I would love to hear any advice you got that could help me: 1. After making a new account and using a voucher, are there any vouchers I can buy (in the vouchers section here) that work on the account, once it is no longer a new account? 2. What websites are allowed to use Adwords? I will be making a website which allows viewers to watch movies online for free (embedded, with CPA offers), would this be an issue or could I use Adwords for it? Is there a screening process? 3. How should I go about selecting the right keywords? It is a matter of finding keywords with high search amounts but a low price per click? Is there any special technique of researching this? I know how to do keyword research and such, I can find the max pay per click keywords, but I am unsure how the cheaper ones work... 4. Can I filter what websites have my ads, if so how effective is it? I would want my ads to be on relevant sites obviously. 5. When you search for high paying keywords on Google, there are ads on the right. Is there ever a case where a cheap keyword could be found on the right or would I likely only get clicks from sites with Adsense ads for my site? 6. How much should I expect to pay per click? 7. Are there any better alternatives to Google Adwords? I appreciate any help, thanks.
I am not actually hosting the movies on my site though. They would either be embedded or just links to a different site (ex. Megavideo) that has them uploaded...
Not necessarily. You can still bid CPC. Your bid will be translated into a CPM bid for the purposes on Google deciding which ad to run, but you will only pay per click.
I appreciate all the help guys. The main concern would be whether I would be allowed to run an Adwords campaign or not. My website will have CPA Lead surveys, and once they fill out the survey they will be able to watch the movie, most likely embedded on my site. Would this be a problem?
Most likely yes, if a user has to fill out a form to get to the content you're advertising then the most likely result is that you'll be slapped with a 1/10 Poor Landing page Quality Score.
