Beginner needs help. Sorry if it is dumb

    Hi there,

    Finally I have decided to try affiliate marketing. Checking my CB account I see that I have already made a sale on 26 Dec for $7...

    I am currently doing article marketing and i am using blogger blog. I am thinking of switching to my own domain but fist I want to learn more.

    When I link back say from an article on Ezines to my blogger blog, is it the blog that is called the landing page?

    I have read that we must do a presell on this page. Can someone explain me what a presell is and point me to example of a good landing page?

    I class a landing page as the page that people land on. Some say it's the page you capture emails (opt-ins).

    presell is selling to the person before they even get onto the sales page (through your aff link)... unlike a banner ad or link. Your actually reviewing or overviewing the product and telling them why they should buy it.

    This in my opinion is a bad pre-sell... Althrough, it's giving options to the person and comparing at points.
    You should focus on making a tunnel (one way for the person to go) instead of a maze.

    You'd think people prefer options, but I find pointing them to "the best" guide out. Converts better.

    Presell is basically a simple landing page, where you review and recommend a specific product.

    You know the link you include in all your articles? The page where you direct people when they click on your link, that is your landing page. The landing page should pre-sell because they should motivate visitors to finally click through your affiliate links. So, is your blog a landing page? Well technically it is, because if it includes your affiliate links, it is pre-selling, and you are directing visitors to the merchant page. But, a classic landing page would be like Blackman said, a simple page, with some review text where yuou recommend the product and with a call to action to make visitors go to the merchant page.

    Thanks guys for the help. The more I try with Cb the more I am feeling excited. Now going to choose a product.

    New question:
    What do you recommend? Article marketing or create a blog for a particular niche

    both... you should be doing any many different ways of marketing as you can...
    More you do, more sales you make.
