If you think these are ten quick steps/a couple of clicks that will help earn money, you are not reading the right article. This article is meant to be a a roadmap, to show beginners in particular a) how to build their own website and b) how to start making money online.

    1. Go hands on on your home PC. Install Apache, PHP, MySQL to be able to set up a website on your PC and go a little hands on.
    2. Download and install Wordpress. It is extremely easy to build a website using wordpress. When you put up your actual website you would need to ensure that the webserver supports php, mysql and wordpress.
    3. Register a domain name.
    4. Setup a hosting account.
    5. Choose a Niche for your website
    6. Choose the presentation of your website. Choose a wordpress theme
    7. Add home , About, Privacy pages to your website - they make your website look more authentic and professional. Start adding content
    8. Do search engine optimization. Promote your website.
    9. Signup for Google Adsense to monetize your website. An easy way to start monetizing your website.
10 Join an affiliate program - as an affiliate you get a commission by selling other people's products.

Compiled above is set of steps I had used and which I think would help beginners. Each step entails a lot of more information - some of which you could check out at The ten step roadmap to making money online and related posts at MindRivet.
