Wordpress would be the best really because there are so many support forums, tutorials etcetera.

For me, with so many plugins and themes you can use out there, there is no better blog platform other than Wordpress. Find a hosting that come with Cpanel and Fantastico. Using Fantastico, you can install Wordpress automatically, although manual installation is also as easy as pie.

I'd like to say please do not try to emulate other blogs. Bee yourself and go your own little way. :)

Dont use Godaddy! Their hosting is so complicated and they have their own control panel so when you ever switch hosts you wont know what you're doing. Use a host that uses cpanel. Have a pro in the blogging field help get you started... they can teach you in 2 hours what you would learn in your first 3 months starting off blogging.

I would recommend checking out jwrmedia.com/wordpress for that.

Hostgator is the best IMHO. Use wordpress to start your blog. You can use plugins like CC and your blog will be up in mins with rich content for your niche.

Checkout the squidoo for more info on CC
