i am considering starting a blog for a domain i've had that has not generated $ parking. potentially good niche subject.i was looking at godaddy to do this.Is godaddy blog a good option for a beginner?if not, could you suggest a better one? thank you
find a host ($10 a year will cover it for starting out). Make sure it has cpanel and install wordpress, you cant go wrong with wordpress.
Yes, I'm also recommend wordpress. I can said that 90% my site using wordpress platform. I'm not geek who can do a good coding but by using wordpress everything very simple and easy.
For me, with so many plugins and themes you can use out there, there is no better blog platform other than Wordpress. Find a hosting that come with Cpanel and Fantastico. Using Fantastico, you can install Wordpress automatically, although manual installation is also as easy as pie. - Dynashox -
Dont use Godaddy! Their hosting is so complicated and they have their own control panel so when you ever switch hosts you wont know what you're doing. Use a host that uses cpanel. Have a pro in the blogging field help get you started... they can teach you in 2 hours what you would learn in your first 3 months starting off blogging. I would recommend checking out jwrmedia.com/wordpress for that.
Hostgator is the best IMHO. Use wordpress to start your blog. You can use plugins like CC and your blog will be up in mins with rich content for your niche. Checkout the squidoo for more info on CC http://www.squidoo.com/caffeinated-content-plugin -Richard
