I see many signatures where people are begging for reputation. Is this allowed? Is is ethical? I thought the system was supposed to work so that if someone made a worthwhile post then they would receive positive reputation. Your thoughts please. Thanks
Well... its not begging if they state that "rep me if you find my post useful" it just shows that they would appreciate a rep and thanking the repper. But... "please rep me" would be a different story.
It's not against any rule so I suppose it's allowed. But there are members out there that do not want other members that ask for Greens and they bomb reds. --Joe
i'm fine with people asking for reps. it's like asking for money. if you give a good service i'll happily pay you.
Hahaha such a good analogy Yeah, I ignore those signatures and just rep if the post is useful or I like the person !
I don't see it as begging Alex But don't people naturally rep people who have lots of reps? And less of one greeners?
if I see people asking for rep, that's like a person on the street begging for money. (not saying there's anything wrong with it, it's their lives... do as they wish!) if you help me, etc I will gladly give you rep - but no need to beg!
I agree with OP and this should not be allowed...I even saw a member writing this after his post -Rep will be apperciated- Saad
EGS does it. But I reckon he'll continue to do that even after there is a rule made about it, since he thinks being anti authority is cool. IT
i usually.. umm sometimes, love to give REP who asking or begging in their signature... <WHERE THE HELL IS FRYMAN?>
