Many website owners choose domains based on branding, availability and price. But ccTLDs can have rules that are different from .COM. The recent .IN Registry advisory is an interesting example of why domain policies matter beyond registration. Do you research registry rules before choosing a ccTLD?
I've never checked the rules but for most of us those won't be a problem, if anything they make life easier.
Fair point, Sarah. If you’re choosing a name for your own site, I can see why having fewer buyers competing purely for resale would be appealing.
