Before & After (pics + URLs) - Looking For Opinions

Hey Guys & Gals,

I spent most of my Saturday working on a new theme for my blog. Here's the before:

Please share your thoughts. Should I stick with the original, or go with the new theme?

 

the new one it better.. now im nit picking but the image should have more space everything seems crammed. and simillarly with my site.. you need an introduction not just straight into the content. i struggle with backgrounds could i ask how you did that... i put a background faded image on my site and it repeats... i could make it bigger so there is no room for the repeat.. is that wat you have done? i wouldnt want this as the image would really be too large.. thanks in advance,

 

Good job cleaning up your site. The new layout is much less cluttered and clearer as to what the focus of your blog is.

 

Wow - thanks for the feedback. So far I've had 10 or so people say they prefer the new theme and only 2 saying they prefer the old theme.

The background image is 100 x 600. Here's the CSS:

body { background: #ffffff url(/path/to/file.jpg) repeat-x top center; }

yea i was thinking.. right align that image and text to the left of it... sorry it jus gets me wen things dont sit right.
