Been Submitting to Around 20+ Directories a Day

I'm currently going down the 'submitting to free directory' route with my website at the moment to try and get some back links

i've been doing about atleast 20 a day from a list of over 500 i found here from someone (thanks)

My question is, is that enough? is that too much at one time? Should i just sit for a few hours and submit to them all at once?

What do you mean by dissapointed? Sites will not be approved? Backlinks won't be generated?

To the guy who asked for the list, as i can't find a function to upload, can u search for directory list... its a excel file in one of the first threads

 

I think what SVZ meant is you prolly won't get that much *Traffic* from all the work your putting into submitting to all those directories unless your going the Paid Route for Featured Links...

I have done that as well over the past year and have seen some but not alot of traffic... But it is traffic and I appreciate it and I'm sure as those directories get higher ratings I will probably get a bit more traffic...

OK thanks, thats not my aim with all the directory submissions anyway, it's just to get some backlinks, as i have basically none as far as g is concered although i rank top for a few relevent keywords..

What about the very popular directory submission service from amit, he usually does those within 48 hours as far as i can see? Has anyone experienced google considering them as spam becuase of these submissions?

I'm wondering tho, if it takes weeks & maybe a month or more to get approved by say: 50-directories would Google and such still think it's SPAM???...

I could see it if you Submitted to 50 and got approved the very same day or maybe within a couple of days...

i have used directory submission services never had any negative... only postive by increase in page rank, traffic or both!

It is not recommended to do mass submissions to directories and search engines. Some kind of consistency is required.

Submitting to directories are not at generating traffic but to get backlinks .

 

I've never been to worried with submitting to a ton of directories in one day. Allot of free directories take any where from a day to several months before my link goes up. So google would never see more than a few new links each day.

 

It also generates well needed traffic especially for new websites

 

When submitting to directories, I have never experience much trafic from the links. however I have seen a large SERP jump from the links. user name "Suil Singh" on this board offers to submit to 300 directories for $50. Well worth the saved time, rather than slogging through the submission process yourself. Ive used him 4x already, happy customer. just submitted another site. Just my 2 cents though.
And for you cynics out there, im just a satisfied customer.
