Out of the blue I recieved a letter from a company acting on behalf of another company who want to buy I domain I own but I have no idea what it is worth. They have asked me what I want for it but I do not know where to start does anyone have any ideas. I think this is a big company who are using it for branding. The domain is the .co.uk and the name is dailyvitamins - Any ideas? Thanks Park
That is a very nice domain. Extremely brandable. You should ask for $3000, then maybe let them haggle you down a bit.
I had a similar letter, it said I had to get the domain valued by one of two companies, at my expense. After doing some research, I was told the domain valuing companies were owned by the sender of the letter, and they're drumming up business for their business. I was told that when I paid for the valuation, I'd be unlikely to hear from them again. Maybe not all such letters are a scam, but be careful.
The company have come back to me with an offer of £900 for the domain - as this is their ist offer what do you think I should be asking or should I just accept this?
